Christmas 2007:
 I went diving again yesterday, dove both the Wall and Angel Cove. Took my camera with underwater housing, and really enjoyed it.
One of the guys speared a tuna weighing about 60 or so pounds. Big fish and lots of meat. Got it when it was at 200’ heading to 250’.
He said, “Lucky”.
But I say, you got to figure in that he went down with dual tanks, and a spear gun looking for it, so it wasn’t totally luck.
It’s like ministry. You use the gifts God gave you and work hard, and it increases the percentages of what some would call “Luck”, or I’d say God’s blessings.

Yesterday Sandy did baking and then last night we had a quiet time, played Pitt with a few friends, and I sat in the recliner and held Irene’s (formerly a Muslim) little 5 year old grand- daughter Cheska, who had a fever and felt comfortable snoozing with me while the others played games. I, too, had a fever, likely all the sun, so didn’t miss the games.
Today is Christmas, thankful that the mayor has banned firecrackers now for many years. Safer. Likely still had full hospitals from all the drunks celebrating His birthday . . . Duh?

Update Friday, Nov. 9, 2007:
With the tent up and running, we want to maintain excellent stewardship of His resources. Keeping the new tent clean and in good repair will help it last for years. Step one in that process includes the application of an ultra gloss sealer, which provides tremendous protection against the sun's UV rays. It also makes the tent so slick that most dirt and debris will wash off when it rains.
The product we need requires a minimum of 8 1/2 gallons to cover the tent. So we need two 5-gallon pails, costing a total of $478.00 + S&H.
However, we do have a supply container planned for shipment in January or February this next year. It would be such a blessing if we could raise the funds to include the ultra gloss sealer with that shipment.
